Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 12 July 2026
These terms apply to purchases, studio bookings, recording sessions, production services, digital services, and webshop orders placed through STORTION EUROPE, stortion.nl, Booknetic, WooCommerce, or by direct agreement with STORTION.
Important: these terms are written to make expectations clear between STORTION and the customer. Mandatory consumer rights under Dutch or EU law remain unaffected.
1. Company information
STORTION EUROPE / STORTION operates from Paasheuvelweg 6, 1105 BH Amsterdam, The Netherlands. COC: 93807228. Studio inquiries: info@stortion.nl. Customer service and order inquiries: customerservice@stortion.eu.
2. Booking confirmation and payment
- A studio booking is confirmed only after the booking process is completed and payment has been received or otherwise approved by STORTION.
- The booked time slot is reserved exclusively for the customer. The customer is responsible for choosing the correct service, date, time, and contact details.
- All prices are shown in EUR. Where VAT applies, prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Payment must be completed before the session starts. STORTION may refuse access to the studio when payment is incomplete, reversed, disputed, or marked as fraudulent.
3. Studio sessions, arrival, and late arrival
- Customers should arrive on time. Late arrival does not extend the session unless STORTION confirms this in writing and the studio schedule allows it.
- The session ends at the scheduled end time. Setup, export, file transfer, and cleanup time are part of the booked session unless agreed otherwise.
- Extra time, extra guests, extra services, mixing, mastering, production, beat licensing, or file delivery outside the booked service may be charged separately.
4. Rescheduling, cancellation, and no-shows
- Paid studio bookings and service appointments are final after confirmation because STORTION reserves a fixed time slot, staff, and studio capacity for the customer.
- Customers may request one reschedule by contacting STORTION at least 48 hours before the session. A new date depends on availability and is not guaranteed.
- Cancellations, reschedule requests within 48 hours, and no-shows are not credited or refunded unless STORTION decides otherwise in writing.
- If STORTION must cancel or move a session because of illness, emergency, technical failure, unsafe conditions, or circumstances outside its control, STORTION may offer a new date or a refund for the affected service.
- Mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain valid. If the customer requests that a service starts within any statutory withdrawal period, the customer agrees that STORTION may begin performing the service immediately and acknowledges that cancellation rights may be reduced or lost once the service is fully performed.
5. Studio conduct and house rules
- Customers and guests must behave respectfully toward staff, other customers, neighbors, and the studio location.
- STORTION may stop or refuse a session without refund in case of aggression, threats, unsafe behavior, intoxication, illegal activity, damage risk, nuisance, or breach of house rules.
- Smoking, drugs, weapons, and activities that create a safety or legal risk are not allowed inside the studio unless STORTION gives explicit written permission for a lawful activity.
- The person who made the booking is responsible for all guests they bring to the studio.
6. Equipment, damage, and customer responsibility
- Customers must use studio equipment, furniture, software, and facilities with care and only for the intended purpose.
- The customer is liable for damage, loss, theft, extra cleaning, or repair costs caused by the customer or their guests.
- STORTION may charge the reasonable repair, replacement, cleaning, recovery, or downtime costs caused by the customer or their guests.
7. Creative work, files, and deliverables
- Unless agreed otherwise, the customer is responsible for bringing required lyrics, beat files, stems, hard drives, login details, and other materials needed for the session.
- STORTION is not responsible for missing, corrupted, wrongly licensed, or low-quality files supplied by the customer.
- STORTION will take reasonable care with recordings and project files, but customers should request and save their exports during or shortly after the session.
- Unless agreed otherwise, STORTION is not required to store session files permanently. Files may be deleted after 30 days.
- Creative results depend on preparation, performance, source material, and customer choices. STORTION does not guarantee commercial success, streaming results, label interest, or a specific artistic outcome.
8. Beats, licenses, and third-party platforms
- Beats are not included in a studio session unless this is clearly stated in the purchased service.
- When customers buy beats through BeatStars or another third-party platform, the license terms of that platform or producer apply.
- The customer is responsible for having the correct rights and licenses for any beat, sample, vocal, artwork, or third-party material used in a recording.
9. Liability
- STORTION is liable only for direct damages caused by its proven breach of contract or unlawful act, up to the amount paid for the affected service, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
- STORTION is not liable for indirect damages such as lost income, missed releases, lost opportunities, reputation damage, platform takedowns, or consequential loss.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability where this is not allowed by law.
10. Webshop products
Physical product orders, shipping, returns, and product refunds are governed by the Shipping Policy, Return Policy, and Refund Policy published on stortion.nl. Service bookings and studio sessions are governed by the studio terms above.
11. Privacy
STORTION processes customer data to handle bookings, payments, communication, forms, orders, newsletters, fraud prevention, analytics, and legal administration. More information is available in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law, unless mandatory consumer law gives the customer stronger rights that cannot be excluded.
